- Nutritional Facts
D’Amico’s Organic Lentils are among the legumes richest in nutrients.
In Italy they are generally combined with rice and small pasta or savored in a soup version with croutons of bread and vegetables.
As they are a symbol of luck and abundance, on New Year’s Eve they are used in large quantities as a side dish for cotechino: this is a traditional dish that cannot be missing on the tables of Italians immediately after midnight. The more lentils you eat, the luckier the new year will be.
D’Amico Lentils are prepared only with excellent raw materials grown according to the organic farming methods, in unique territories where the best varieties grow to bring the flavor of nature to your table.
The tin cans are internally enameled in white to guarantee the quality and organoleptic properties of the excellent legumes.
With such a resistant packaging you can take your lentils anywhere, even outside the home for an invigorating picnic in the open air.
How to prepare them?
The Bio d’Amico Lentils are already cooked. Open the jar and enjoy them naturally!
To enrich them, stew them with garlic, onion, celery and carrots; don’t forget to add numerous bay leaves. Serve them steaming with raw extra virgin olive oil.
With the Bio line, D’Amico is committed to protecting the environment while respecting the cycles and natural balances of the soil.
