Molino Grassi‘s Organic Spelled Flour belongs to the project for the protection of organic and ancient grains.
In fact it is made with the ancient Farro Spelta, almost forgotten today.
Molino Grassi has rediscovered it and cultivates it in the fields of the regions of central Italy.

The flavour of this flour is delicate and vaguely reminiscent of hazelnuts.
Spelled flour can be used in a versatile way for the preparation of both sweet and savoury doughs, baked goods, particularly soft bread, sweets and biscuits, but also pasta.
This ancient variety of spelled is rich in beneficial properties for health thanks to a good concentration of iron, magnesium, phosphorus, vitamins and many fibres.
