Description
The Penne rigate of the Pastificio Liguori pasta factory have the Pasta di Gragnano I.G.P. certification (PGI).
They are produced in Gragnano with the best durum wheat from southern Italy and pristine water from the Monti Lattari Regional Park.
Penne, so called in the 19th century because they resemble the fountain pens of the past, are the second most famous pasta shape after spaghetti.
The bronze drawing gives the surface a special roughness.
The empty center allows you to keep the sauce inside while the outer lines enclose the sauce even more.
The most famous recipe is the Lazio one. Who doesn’t know Penne all’Arrabbiata?
Now the Liguori pens are even more ecological because they are kept in a new certified recyclable paper pack.
