Description

Balocco’s Savoiardi are a sweet Italian delicacy made with simple ingredients like fresh eggs, flour, and sugar.
Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, Savoiardi Balocco biscuits are perfect for dipping in milk and coffee in the morning for a sweet breakfast,
or as an essential ingredient to prepare one of Italy’s most beloved desserts: tiramisù.

Savoiardi Balocco are prepared without artificial colors or preservatives.

Here’s the universal recipe for a perfect Tiramisù.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g mascarpone
  • 4 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 cup cooled espresso coffee
  • 1 package of Savoiardi biscuits
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Procedure:

  1. In a bowl, separate the egg yolks from the whites.
  2. In another bowl, beat the yolks with sugar until creamy.
  3. Add the mascarpone to the yolks and mix well until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the mascarpone and yolk mixture.
  6. In a dish, create a layer of Savoiardi biscuits dipped in espresso coffee.
  7. Cover with a layer of mascarpone cream.
  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until you run out of ingredients, ensuring to finish with a layer of cream.
  9. Sprinkle the surface with cocoa powder.
  10. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  11. Before serving, dust with additional cocoa powder.
